Our Finance and Procurement team turn ambition into action. By providing trusted financial leadership, clear insight, strong governance, and smart procurement, they enable confident decisions that support sustainable growth and long term value for both the business and our members.

Their work is underpinned by strong controls and financial resilience, helping the business invest wisely, operate efficiently, and protect what matters most - our members’ money and trust.

HR / People

Our HR/People team help our colleagues be at their best, so they can give their best to our members. From learning and development to wellbeing, reward, and inclusion, they support colleagues to grow, feel valued, and build fulfilling careers.

They also shape the experience of working at Skipton by providing practical support and creating safe, welcoming, and well designed workplaces across all of our locations. By bringing together people, culture, and places, they create the right environments for colleagues to do great work - helping Skipton attract, support, and retain talented people for the future.

Marketing

Our Marketing team helps tell the Skipton story and keeps our brand clear, relevant and true to who we are. Using insight, data and creativity, they attract new customers, stay connected with existing ones and support our Homes and Money teams. Across the Group, they help build trust, raise awareness and make sure Skipton stands for something that really matters.

Risk and Compliance

Our Risk and Compliance helps our business move forward safely and confidently. Working closely with teams across the organisation, they balance opportunity with risk and translate regulation into clear, practical guidance that supports confident day-to-day decision-making.

By anticipating and managing financial, operational, and conduct risks, they play a crucial role in enabling positive, sustainable outcomes for our members. Acting as a trusted second line of defence, they help protect members, colleagues, and the Society’s longterm success, without getting in the way of progress.

Legal, Sustainability, and Secretariat

Our Legal, Sustainability, and Secretariat team helps make sure Skipton always acts with integrity and responsibility. By providing trusted legal advice, strong governance, and a clear focus on sustainability, they support fair outcomes for members and communities, enabling progress while staying true to our purpose.

Group Internal Audit

As a Group function, our Group Internal Audit team supports the success of the whole Skipton Group. They are the third line of defence across all Skipton Group subsidiaries, providing independent assurance. By taking a curious, objective view of how things work, they help strengthen controls, improve processes, and manage risk consistently across the Group.

Their work helps our business learn, improve, and stay resilient, enabling the Group to perform at its best. Which ultimately means stronger outcomes and greater value for our members.
